There are several must-do things in Slovenia that our friends Heather and Kent told us about. We had no problems renting a car in Slovenia for US$12 a day. Off we went to explore Slovenia (and thought that all of our car rentals in Europe would also be a piece of cake)
In our photos of Slovenia, there is a snap of a cave exit. This is Number One on the must-see, must-do list.
This is the exit for the Skocjanske jame/Skocjan Caves, a most amazing place where people are not allowed to take pictures inside--too dangerous to stand up and take pictures too. Have a look at the website pictures instead--www.park-skocjanske-jame.si
So the caves were number one. We were encouraged to go to Bohinj and see the beautiful lake Bohinjsko jezero and Bled Castle. That was number two, must-see, must do.
And we were glad we did. We were also encouraged by Heather and Kent to hike in the area.
That's Audre hiking the Voje Valley portion of the Mostnica Gorge in Triglav National Park. A very enjoyable day doing must-do number three.
Then off we went to Udine, Italy to report the Theft of Audre's Suitcase.
