Each winter from 1996-2002 we would rent an apartment in a ski area and spend the winter skiing that area. We started in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy for two seasons. We went from there to Les Trois Vallées in France for two seasons and then spent two seasons in Val d'Isère. It was a fabulous experience that we have tried to duplicate in 2006 Chile and in 2007 in Argentina (where we started the blog during the poor snow conditions).Each summer we would pack up our car (with our two bikes on top) and explore a different part of Europe.
