In June 2025 re-started our traveling lifestyle--traveling 24/7/365 and plan to do that for the foreseeable future. We first stayed in Lyon for a month from June to the middle of July, 2025 and then started a road trip to Italy in our new Kia Sportage SUV. Our prior travels had typically been in two or three month segments! In February 2025, we left Vail to spend three months skiing in Tignes and Val d'Isere. Read about getting there, us there and then our two-week stay in Lyon.
In November 2024 we left Vail to spend 50 days in Panama. We shortened it to 40 and went back to Vail to ski.
For July and August 2024, we traveled to the Middle East (yes, while there was a war on). We stayed at 6 different Four Seasons Hotels and were truly indulged! It's been nearly 30 years since we were in Turkey or in Egypt. We started in Istanbul at the Four Seasons Sultanahmet property. From Istanbul, we flew to Cairo and stayed at the Nile Plaza property. After Cairo, we flew to Sharm El Sheikh and stayed at that FS property. Next, we went to the Alexandria Four Seasons and Dimitri’s birthplace (not the FS, Alexandria). After a month in Egypt, we returned to Istanbul and stayed at the gorgeous FS Bosphorus.

Our previous two-month trip was in July 2023. We arrived in the Seychelles to stay at the Four Seasons on Mahé and on the Island of Desroches.
