On our second stay, we were again met at the airport by Dew, the representative of the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River. We were whisked off to the Four Seasons House Car and in no time back at the hotel. The Elite benefits that we are entitled to are awesome. Our complimentary upgrade to the executive one bedroom suite was fabulous. The living room was long with a view of the courtyard and the hotel bar on one side and the river on the other. Dimitri's desk was in the living room at the room's "official desk". JJ had a table brought into the bedroom for Audre's desk. It worked out well--we both had lovely river views sitting at our desks. The bathroom in suite 510 was much better too. The problems of the first room we had did not exist in the second room. We unpacked everything and put everything away, even our suitcases. We were home! Again the personalization was impressive.
During this stay, we used the fitness center, we sat by the pool and we enjoyed our suite. The fitness center has all of the latest state-of-the-art Technogym machines. Even so, Boy gave her a personal training workout. Wow!
During the times we went to the gym, Audre had a personal trainer to herself. Both Boy and Pan were terrific.
When we went to Icon Siam, a fancy-schmancy shopping center, Audre would go to Takashimaya (a store that she loved in Singapore) and Dimitri would have lunch at the Kamui Hokkaido Japanese restaurant where he could get his favorite chawanmushi (sometimes with sea urchin--thus making it his favorite-favorite). Audre found clothes to replace the ones that had been stolen in Europe in 2019 (and because of COVID she had been unable to replace).
Sitting by the pool in the afternoon was nice. Watching the river and the people provided entertainment. Jasjit Assi (JJ), the Hotel Manager, would come to check on us and others would talk to us too.
Our Four Seasons pool experience in Bangkok
Dimitri worked with the concierge, mostly Top, to make reservations at Michelin-recognized restaurants for each night in Bangkok. We ate mostly at one-star Michelin restaurants and they were all very, very good. Read our Bangkok restaurant reviews (from both our first and second stays) by clicking here.Another thing Dimitri worked on that took time, was making sure we could get the correct COVID test the day before we left. Ultimately for $500 we were able to get the test done in time.
It might be fun for you to review our doings and plans in a Google Map. We don't know how long Google lets this type of map stay active. The items in green color are those that we visited, the red color indicates the high priority ones that we intended to visit but never got around to, and the blue ones are just normal priority.
