On October 28th we packed up and left the M Chereville in Seoul to return to the USA for six months of skiing in Vail, CO. We took a "luxury" taxi (starting rate KRW 5,000 instead of 3,000) to the Ritz Carlton where we would be able to get the KAL Limousine bus to Incheon airport (KRW 32,000). Easy peasy. We were at the airport at about 1:15 p.m. for a 4:10 p.m. flight to San Francisco. We spent around an hour getting our tax refund processed (for all the clothes we bought at Uni Qlo) and then had a fairly awful lunch at the airport food court.
The Korean Airlines flight back was crowded and not nearly as pleasant as the outbound flight. We started out in the middle section behind a screaming baby but we were able to move to a row in the back of the plane by ourselves (near other screaming babies). The flight was around 10 hours.
