2008 Roadtrip Ushuaia, Argentina

We liked where we stayed in Ushuaia. It was: Los Cauquenes, Calle Reinamora 3462, Barrio Bahia Cauqu‚n (9410) Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argenina, fono: (54-02901) 441-300, e-mail: info@loscauquenesushuaia.com.ar, web: www.loscauquenes.com. We stayed first in Cabin 2 then Cabin 8. We spent US$140 a day. Click here for a link to our restaurant reviews. Probably our favorite was: Komenk, Fueguino Hotel Patagonico, Gob. Deloqui 1282, Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, fono: (54-2901)424894, e-mail: info@fueguinohotel.com , web: http://www.fueguinohotel.com/

Boy, was it windy in Patagonia. Our biking was adversely affected by it. We should have hiked in the mountains above Ushuaia but we didn't.

There were lots of signs on the back of cars saying Malvinas son Argentinas/the Falklands are Argentinean. We thought it was dumb (having lost a war fair and square) but when we saw road signs (erected and maintained by the government) northeast of Buenos Aires, we were incredulous.
