We left Iquique at 9:45 am, having had a free stay at the Hotel Terrado Suites as a result of the tantrum I had because of the noise from the fashion show/party. We arrived in Antofagasta at 1:45 pm, having done 437 km.
Hotel Antofagasta, Balmaceda 2575, Antofagasta fono(56-55) 228-811, reservas@hotel-antofagasta.cl, web: panamericanahotels.cl. It cost CLP $48000/$94 and was definitely not worth it. There is a new shopping center that blocks the sea view and the hotel is old and not charming. We had dinner at the hotel and were the only ones in the restaurant.
We walked the shopping center and the beach. The beach is beautiful in Antofagasta.
